I bought the Agestar 3UBTF USB 3 hoping to use the newer usb 3 speed for writing and reading files. Unhappy for me it never worked as a usb 3. By the time I realized that it was defective even with the firmware update, it was too late for me to return it for a refund. Not only it did not work as a USB3 but it had errors with USB2. I went to their web site and it did not have a US office. I plan on donating this to the local Goodwill.
